How long have you been in business?
Tamaqua is a third generation business started back in the early 1930's as a commercial fishing station.
What is your primary product or service?
Tamaqua is known for its large bar, most likely the largest in Brooklyn and with free parking. In addition, we host a marina for vessels up to 80ft in length and offer gas and fuel sales for boats.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As the third generation, my brothers and I have grown up in this business, each of us with our own specialty that helps keep the business alive.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The seclusion of our business offers our customers a sense of relaxation, an escape from the metropolitan hustle. We have outdoor seating in the warm weather, horseshoe pits, shuffle board, pool tables, lotto and varies video games.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Just the one location with no plans to expand.

We are a south Brooklyn based business, but people visit from all over.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation are from 8am to 2 pm daily, except on Sunday's we open at noon.
